9-5 with diesel engines

I read in the latest issue of the Turbo Diesel Register (a trade magazine for owners of Dodge Ram Pickups with Cummins diesel engines) where Car Writer Greg Whale test drove a SAAB 9-5 in Germany with the 3.0 liter turbo-diesel engine. He was very favorably impressed. At speeds averaging 102 MPH he averaged 27 MPG of diesel fuel on the German autobahn. He reported no negative diesel features such as difficutly cranking in cold weather, noisy engine, or sluggish acceleration. Mileage at normal use was closer to 40 MPG.
That would be one answer to the SAAB CAFE problem.
I would buy one in they ever import it.
