Not just "SAABS". TWC's afe on most new vehicles of today. The smell is strongest when the vehicle is new, and generally subsides @ 10,000 miles.
The converter is releasing sulfur as HS (hydrogen sulfide)during run-rich conditions. That's the rotten eggs/sulfur smell.
As you have been advised: Different gasolines have differing amounts of sulfur. And it takes a COUPLE/THREE tankfulls.
OR
If you're using low octane fuel, switch to a higher grade. Premium typically has less sulfur than lower octane grades. And TWO/THREE tankfulls befor any change is manifested.
Good SAABing.
