They make mistakes, but their management is good in making up for them ;).

Sales people: good experiences in all situations.

When picking up the car: the leather sleeve wrapping the handbrake was dangling deep under the armrest, so there was a hole gaping around the lever (I asked them to remove a phone mount left from the previous owner a day before, so I guess they had to remove the console). My excitement with the car was so big that I pulled the sleeve back and locked it in place myself in 15 minutes with just a pocket knife on my parking lot.

2 hours later: my wife noticed the absense of the mirror on the right sun visor. Back to the dealership, a new visor is installed in 15 minutes, a child seat anchor is also installed for free.

First real problem, 4 days after. Car's failing to start when hot. "We've replaced the DI cassette just in case, come again if the problem's still there". Fast (30 minutes), free, courteous, all good. But the problem is still there.

Next evening the car dies on DVP (right lane, thankfully), so I towed it all the way to their place, left the keys and walked home (9pm). The next morning it took me half a day and several phone calls to get a loaner.

The car stayed in the shop for almost a week, after which I was presented with a bill for $1200 CDN including parts (crank sensor, $150), TWO tow trucks (another $150), gas (?!!, $10), and the rest in labour and taxes. They fed me a colourful story about how hard it was to reproduce the problem in the shop, and therefore they were using the car to run their personal errands, so it's finally collapsed downtown, and they towed it all the way back. I'm not making this up, I still have a bill with a brief description of this creative diagnostic technique. And yes, they have suddenly noticed that car is slightly over 4 years now (it was at 78K), so I have to pay for the whole thing.

A long talk with the manager bought me a back-dated extended warranty, so I walked away without paying for repairs.

Another visit in two months about a slight leak. Got a new water pump/seals/coolant/etc., drove a Caddy for a day, good job, no complaints.

January, check engine light: checked the code, asked if I want a new O2 sensor for $450? Fast, fair. Called me a couple of weeks later to follow up if the car's OK.

Last week: "Sorry, your warranty was rejected...". I wrote about this already.

They should call themselves a Zebra Saab or something like that -- they apparently have white periods and black periods. I just have to figure out the timeframes.
