disconnected hose on 9-5 Wagon Posted by Dan [Email] ![]() ![]() |
Hello,
I am on vacation (going home tomorrow) and the service/dealer is closed today. I have a 1999 Saab 95 Wagon 4 cylinder automatic, and while looking things over I noticed what looks to be a dangling hose. It is connected on one side, to the top of the transmission housing, next to where the support the transmission dipstick is, and the other side, it is dangling down by the manifold, connected to nothing. The end of the hose is getting kind of fried from the heat. I looked around, and there appears to be a stub/connecter, by the air intake hose, right before it angles down to the turbo (I am using as technical terms as I can think of ;-)). Looks to potentially be "an emissions thing", and was wondering if anybody knows what this hose is for, and whether it would cause any damage, to drive for 450 miles with it disconnected? I would then bring the car in to get serviced when I get back home...Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks,
Dan
