While I have never acually weighed my alloy wheels my impression from lifting both my winter tires on 15" steel rims and my summer tires on 16" rims is that the summers on the 16" alloys are certainly lighter. As far as unsprung weight goes this is would be one more reason to consider the 205/55 to the 215/55, although I suspect the weight difference is very small.
