because it goes up the sides of the cargo area and behind the seat, making a waterproof "bowl" for your pet. The only part that gets dirty is the inside of the hatch, but you can cover that. I think the website is http://www.hatchbag.com They make custom ones for most vehicles, including the 9-5. They come in two sizes, back seat up and back seat down. We bought one a few years ago and use it all the time with our two dogs. It removes easily and cleans quickly. For what you are looking for, I think it's the best option out there.
