Yep! I'm another loser to the old cracking and noisey rear. I just bought a pre-used car from SAAB and like an idiot, didn't see the cracks on the rear rain gully until I washed it by hand some days later. (Well you wouldn't think of looking would you on a SAAB 95 (1999) SE 2.0T.) I had it checked out and the dealer siad they had never seen it before. They have also refused to anything about it. Also, I too have a very noisy rear when going over bumps or hitting out when at the bottom of a hill. It will do it even at 5mph. Had new shocks but still does it. It sounds like squelching but very loud. Like rubber on metal. Maybe something to do with the double rear wishbone??? Does anyone have any ideas before I pour petrol over it. I have resorted to loud music instead. Also, when the car starts when cold, a loud screeching noise comes from around the pully/cam area. goes after about 1 minute but it has already had new belts pullys etc. As you can guess, I am not a happy bunny with my new car. It has done 60K miles but come on, Its a SAAB, not scooter!
