9-5 Arc loaner -- thoughts...

Have my '02 Aero wagon in for an alleged cracked rotor and to replace the A/C expansion valve (let's see if they replicate the groan -- I just firmly stated that the expansion valve is bad thanks to the documented cases courtesy of this BB -- they of course couldn't replicate it the first time I complained about it last summer)...
Driving a cosmic blue Linear sedan. Like it quite a bit. Definitely a different feel from my wagon -- a bit more mature. Probably mostly due to the V-6/auto/tires. The paddle shifters are fun and the ventilated seats a novelty, although the sport seats feel better overall. Shifting in the sport mode seems a bit choppy. It does handle more softly -- I found the ride much more compliant over the rutted streets of DC, so a welcome change. I'll be back in the Aero tonight, but I'm enjoying the relative serenity of the Linear for now. And cosmic blue is pretty cool after my sedate charcoal grey. Overall, though, it confirmed to me (after being a die-hard 5 series fan) that the 9-5 platform is pretty damn good.
