Hi Stan:
I have a 2002 Linear 5AT with 6000 kms and have experienced similar incidents. I suspect that it has to do with the transmission. I notice that it normally occurs when I brake aggressively (i.e. press and don't let up) to a stop while coasting. In addition, others on the board (myself included) have also experienced instances when the car is coasting at relatively low speeds and the throttle is applied gradually, the car briefly feels like it is going over rumble strips (or what I describe as warning bumps on the edge of highways).
In any case, I have asked the local saab tech at the dealer during my 3K checkup and he said that he does not know anything about it nor could he re-create the problem - typical NFF (no fault found) on the invoice. Others on this board have indicated that there is a s/w update for the auto trans. I will ask another dealer if he is aware of this.
Good luck
Simon
