I just returned from the Aero Academy held in Atlanta. This 2 day course is outlined in great detail in a post below if you want all the details. I want to add that this program, provided free to all new 03 Aero owners, is really incredible and memorable. Held this past Saturday and Sunday at Road Atlanta, a major racing school and track, there were 21 attendees, 8 instructors and 10 new Aeros. It was an incredibly well designed and executed program. Saab has put a lot of resources to make it a perfect experience. I learned more about driving in these 2 days than the several decades I have been driving. Particularly beneficial was learning about the capabilities of the Aero and how to drive it in all sorts of situations, from slick roads to tight curves. We were encouraged to push the Aero beyond our expectations, and found it difficult to push it beyond its capabilities. Learned about seating, mirrors, tires, emergency lane changes, stopping, avoiding collisions, reaction times, driving on slick roads, handling thru curves, and much, much more. The instructors were professional race car drivers and superb instructors. Saab provided opportunities at a dinner and during the class to meet some of their executives and engineers and they were all great to talk with. All straight forward, no hype and really passionate about their products. If you own a new Aero this is course should be considered a must. You may go to the course thinking you bought an excellent car, but you will leave being more surprised and excited about its capabilities.
