bRAD: You are totally correct about not only the actual need for even more performance than the current Aero gives, but also about the ability to harness that extra power to the ground, presumeing you could come up with a place to safely use it. I believe that in front wheel drive configuration, the current 250 HP automatic Aero is a more user friendly setup than the 305 HP Hirsch manual trans model I had the chance to drive recently.Getting that extra power and torque to the ground is the limiting factor in the Hirsch car. Too much power and you get front axle tramp, not unlike what you can get by overpowering a RWD car with a solid axle layout. If there were not driveline related limitations like that,I would probably like to have that extra punch for the rare occasion that it is possible to open it up in the lower gears. On the highway,I think the current Aero is deceptively faster than the 0-60 and quarter mile times would have you believe, and it can get you into serious trouble real fast. At those speeds, the Hirsch model is simply outrageous, but like you said, here in North America, where can you even find a road that is not congested enough to try to open up even the stock Aero?
