The screw that holds the rotor to the wheel hub is Torx. You might be able to get away with forcing a hex key in there, but you might mangle up the screw head and potentially not be able to remove it without drilling it out.
My advice would be to get a set of Torx sockets. It won't cost much at all and will make the job go easier. And you'll soon find another use for the sockets. Also, if the screw is really stuck in the rotor, use an impact hammer (you can get one at Sears for $15). You put a socket on the end, place it into the screw, then hit the end with a hammer which turns the screw with a downward and to the left pressure. This usually frees it up nicely. Since your car is new, this might not be a problem. But if you can't get it out, this tool works wonders.
I used a big screwdriver to gently pull the spring clips out of their holes. Like others have said, study it before you pull it out. It gets confusing on re-assembly.
