I posted a couple of days ago about a faint noise from the rear. You can hear it only when the car is bearly moving over unsmooth surface. Once on the road, it is no longer audible even on rough surfaces. It is in-between a thump and a click.
Some have suggested sloshing inside the gas tank. I don't think so, because the noise is the same regardless of how full or empty the gas tank is.
My question: Could it be an indication a loose rear suspension joint bolt?
Do these bolts need regular tightening? if so, is it dangerous? any one has had a similar experience?
I will bring it to the dealer at the 10K mile check in a month or so, but I am not sure if I can reproduce it or make him hear it.
Car is 02 Areo with almost 9000 miles.
