Just this week my wife and I have noticed blue smoke coming from the exhaust when starting the car. As I'm on TSN bulletin boards regularly, and based on my search of the 9-5 bb, it seems like this may be a symptom of a failing turbo. Guess I get to take it in for a new turbo. The car should still be safe to drive on a road trip over the long weekend, shouldn't it?

Fortunately the car is well within warranty (just shy of 21k miles). For others who have had this done, do you know whether the turbo is replaced by an upgraded one which isn't prone to failure after just 20k miles?
