Happens to many cars and not just SAABs; my mother's '03 BMW 330xi got a flat and a replacement Continental tire (also with an odd XL-load rating, like the Aero's) was nowhere to be found! I had to order it from Tire Rack.
But at least BMWs have full-size spares!
If a full-size tire and rim will fit in the 9-5, I suggest you get your damaged rim fixed by Wheels America (http://www.fixrim.com) or some other reputable wheel shop, and use that as a spare instead of the donut.
Car and Driver tested donut spares a while back and found that they're very durable, but I'd be extremely annoyed at having to drive a long distance on one, at reduced speed...
