"playpen" (try to look at it first). the specs on the thule site are misleading. It goes on the cross rails, which are made by Thule, has a big basket, very sturdy, which in turn has stub cross bars AND(here's the confusion) a set of two full length bars to go on top, so you can fill the basket and put a couple of bike or ski racks on top of that. It can also be extended by addition an accessory pice of cage. there's a milorder dealer who sells it at a discount (use Google to search "Thule playpen," and if you have an outdoor store in your area that discounts, they probably have it as well.
Yakima makes a very sturdy cage, but it's got round fittings (Thule is rectangular) so fit my be an issue.
We have the Playpen, that's how I know it has the extra bars. the cross bars are proprietary to fit the Wagon rack. I've had a couch on it already - it carries a lot.
