PLC pointed out the relevant law. As a practical matter, your warranty can never be "voided", and Saab won't deny any "real" warranty claims if you're taking car of the car. If your AC craps out and you can't prove that you changed the oil, it doesn't matter. If your engine siezes up and they find that the engine is coated with sludge from the original factory-fill, then it's clearly not their fault you didn't change the oil. Records would only be requested in the rarest cases where it looks like it's caused by a lack of maintenance and you want to prove that it's not. In all the warranty work I've had done, including engine repairs, I've never had to produce a single record of anything. Nor do I know of any time another person had to produce any records.
In short, I wouldn't worry about it. Now if the previous owner actually hadn't _done_ the maintenance, then I would worry, and not just about the warranty aspect.
