45 miles into day stopped at stop sign and car cut off. Started okay. Later in the day at 55 up hill Car gave a major bump almost like hitting a big dog. Must have cut off and then restarted. Ran okay.
Next day 45 miles away stopped to pick up something. 10 minutes later tried to start car---turned over fine, but would not fire..called tow truck, but 10 minutes later started fine. Drove 25 miles to office went inside to call dealer to take car in came out to start and again would not start Called tow truck which arrived 20 minutes later, and again the car started. Took it on the truck to the dealer. Started fine, but after running about 20 minutes cut off..
Dealer said the crankshaft senor was heating up and shorting out... Picked it up last night.
So far no problem, but haven't been very far from home.. Makes you not trust the car.
I saw some of the other postings, and wandered what is a DI unit I have 73K on my car, are there other things I should consider replacing. I have all of the recommended services done on time.
Thanks
