I would not say that any of the Saabs are trouble free. Its a passion.
The DI on the 4 cylinders can fail and is considered a wear item. The serpentine belt idler pullies are wear items too. If those are ignored they will fail and you need a tow.
Those are the two hot spots that come to mind. There is also some failures with the fly by wire throttle. Some experienced folks have spares in the back.
So you need to live with that. Not trouble free. And the exhaust is not stainless steel. So I would not recommend the Saab if you can't handle some repairs every year or so.
