My 99 9-5SE 2.3 pulls a 2,000lb Casita Travel Trailer for about three months a year. The Car is rated at 2,000lbs with trailer brakes and the hitch from Saab is a 3,500 lb Class II. The tongue weight is 165lbs and should be followed religiously. Europeans have been pulling small travel trailers with their Saabs for many years so Saab has engineered this capability into the car. It is one of the few car companies that do so. The Saab hitch becomes an integral part of the car. Hope this helps.
