I have a few questions which may also be of interest to other members of the board. I will be turning in (or buying) my 01 9-5 2.3 (9-5) shortly. It will be in good condition, at about 36,000 miles. Sunroof, upgrade package (radio, etc) and spoiler. It has had several electrical problems in three years, including one which dropped it dead on the road. (Luckily, my wife was driving. She is more forgiving about these things. I had her SAAB that day to take it in for service!) Here are my questions:
1. Who has put the most mileage on his/her 9-5? (Will it be one of the regulars or a dark horse candidate?)
2. In getting your 9-5 to 100,000, have you had to put a lot of dollars in for maintenance?
3. If people have reached 150,000 or 200,000 miles, has maintenance been expensive? How have the cars held up in reaching these miles?
4. What price should I expect to pay if I buy out (the contract says $21,000, but SAAB has already offered $20,000 with 3 months to go). I would only purchase on a certified basis.
Thanks for any input which you can provide. JeffK
