with my venti seats. Among other things at first service interval, I mentioned the seats. Report came back: "working normally." I felt like the Woody Allen character who gets the million dollar workup for an imaginary ailment in "Hannah and Her Sisters."
My feeling on these seats is that they're best used at low settings on sunny days when you start "sticking" to the leather when you move. Don't expect an effect like sitting on freon coils. The fans work just like a good **legal** drug, i.e. a non-steroidal agent or anxiolytic. You aren't aware that they're working (side effects). You just feel normal. If you use them when you don't need them, you'll likely just notice side effects. In the case of the drugs: buring belly, somnolence. With the seats, you'll just hear fan noise.
Absolute best use for the venti seats, IMHO, is with all windows and sunroof open, cruising around town in the summer. Outside wind noise masks the fan. You just sit there, totally comfortable, big grin and no sweat, a little Bonnie Raitt on the steerio. Folks in the buttoned up cars around you don't know your little secret.
Life is short...
