As noted above, Burlingame Saab and B&B both have common ownership.
Both in my experience have a great "front office" -- the people at the service (and sales) desks are great, but the mechanics have no work discipline and are terrible.
Examples:
- it took THREE trips to Burlingame Saab to get them to properly install the CD changer. they didn't EVEN TURN IT ON the first two times -- i.e., didn't even bother to test it.
- it took THREE trips to Burlingame Saab to get them to replace my rattling rear-view mirror
- it took TWO trips to B&B saab to get window trim replaced and a sunroof fix made, and THREE trips to get my SID replaced because they forgot to order it on the second trip
I could go grab my service history & the list would be longer, but that gives your a sense.
When I used to be walking distance from Burlingame Saab, this wasn't the end of the world, but it sure is a pain now.
Clearly, whoever manages the mechanics themselves does not care about quality.
