But you're wallet will be happier with the BCPR6ES Copper Plugs. The ORIGINAL reason for the COPPER plug over the platinum was complaints over long cranking times with the NGK-PFRXXX.
I was the FIRST to post this.
Viggen owners expressed "run" problems that were rectified with the NGK copper BCPR6ES plug as well.
Your car may have had a condition that warranted the use of the NGK copper plugs prior to your acquiring it.
I have a 2002 9-5 AERO with about 12k on it. At 15,000 I will install the BCPR6ES plugs. $ 8.00 US at my local PepBoys.
I have a 2002 9-3 SE that ran so crummy at 10,000 miles, that I switched to the coppers--like I wrote you about the VIGGEN owners--and W
OWOWOWOWOW what a difference.
So, go with the manual or go with proven experience.
