Actually it doesn't matter as even the Linear feels much more substantial that either. I'd snap up a V6 Arc now, great car with amazing deals availible. The V6 really make the car charge from any speed and makes nice noises doing it. The fours don't make the same sweet song.
But it's a constant debate on the 9-5 BB, V6 vs. 2.3LPT, both have their points.
The V6 definitely commands the resale value. For the $1,700 difference in comparably equipped cars new you get an $1,800 Blue Book allowance 3 years later. You can get a Linear without the premium package, and with a bigger incentive making the difference substantial, but if you want a V6, it's still a darn good buy right now.
As an old Saab guy, figuratively and literally, I prefer the fours, but the V6 is well liked, reliable and the average person is right when he notices it drives nicer.
