The only time I ever experienced something like that was when I had my Gislaved winter tires mounted, and I overinflated them. I reset them to SAAB's spec (I think 33/31 for winter tires?) and all was well.
I've had the Gislaveds up to 85-90 mph on the Garden State Parkway (won't push them much more due to the QR speed rating) and they've been great, extremely stable!
Dean makes a good point, try a good brand of tire gauge like AccuTire, available at most Sears and PepBoys. Stay away from those cheapie pencil-type tire gauges.
Perhaps the wheel bolts are loose? Probably not, but you never know. Wheel bolts are supposed to be retorqued after 30 days. SAAB does a suspension retorque at the 30 day checkup.
Anyone know if SAAB uses those spacer inserts in the shocks/struts during vehicle shipment? If so, maybe they forgot to remove yours? Happens more than it should (at least on other makes, like BMW)
Bring your car in for the 30 day/1000 mi checkup and tell them what you experienced, something's definitely not right!
good luck,
Jason
