It's based on 12000 miles per year.
Actual cost of the vehicle is $36300, and it is not including tax and license fees. After all fees and negative equity included, I could finance the car for around $38000 in conventional financing. I think that $603 is pretty high as well, but Saab does not offer leases in Texas. Because a 10% of monthly payment is added to original payment as a Property tax, Saab offers baloon payment which is very similar to GMAC Smartbuy (only available in Texas). My dealer told me a lease payment of $545 will have approximaely $55 additional dollars figured in as property tax every month. Traditionally, folks in Northeast pay unbelievable lease payments. At least one advantage in Texas baloon payments is that sales tax is paid from the start, so the residual may be refinanced without adding tax (6.25 percent in Texas).
If I could get some numbers from Texas Aero wagon owners that will help me tremendously.
