Re: Should I....9-5 Aero or 9-3 Viggen? I can testify for both... The basic difference I see is refinement and handling. I also prefer the hatch and while the aero has more interior legroom I can certainly fit more stuff in the Viggen. I did not find the aero's steering to be lifeless. Overall I really like the feel of the aero, but the Viggen does seem a bit more fun to drive because it is unpredictable -- really depends on what you want out of the car in terms of feel. The Viggen is a little quicker, but the aero is much smoother at high speeds.
The "buttery" rims on the Viggens is mainly due to people leaving their air pressure too low in my opinion. The front skirt does hang low, but I have never caught it on anything -- the aero also has a low lip that is often nicked up or torn off so you will have that issue either way, but it is more likely on the Viggen.
Personnally I like the Viggen better, that’s why I recently sold the aero and now just have the Viggen. I am planning on some suspension upgrades though as I got too used to the excellent handling of the 02 aero.
Of course there is always the option of an 03 aero wagon -- I guess that would probably solve all issues:) That might be next for me when I want to grow up...
