Looking for 9-5 wagon & Saab Certification Advice

I'm in the process of buying a 5 speed 9-5 wagon, which is a little hard to come by. I've located 2 in my area and they are nearly identical. One is a 1999 with 32,000 miles which cannot be Saab certified since the original warranty is expired. The other is a 2000 with 43,000 miles and it can be certified. The '99 is offered at $2000 less than the '00. I'm looking to find if anyone has information, good, bad, or otherwise regarding Saab certification (because I think I want it) and whether or not it is worthwhile or cost effective. Also, I would like to know if there were any mechanical issues that were problems on the '99s that may have been resolved on the '00s. I've driven classic 900s up till now so moving to the 9-5 is a big step and I don't know much about them. Thanks.
