I have same problem....

with my '00 running Zimmermann cross-drilled rotors and Mintex "Red Box" pads.
I had no noise problems for the first 10,000 miles but am now experiencing very slow speed noise from the rears only. It sounds just like wetting your finger tip and rubbing it around the rim of a crystal goblet. Continuous sound, no pulsation or cycling as I would expect from a warped rotor.
I removed the pads, cleaned everything in sight, lubed all the brake movement points (pins, pad ears, and spring clip resting spots)with brake lube, coated the backside of the outboard pads with anti-squeal compound, and I still get squealing in stop-n-go traffic and garages. No noise at driving speeds.
I suspect the leading edge of the rear pads is engaging/touching the rotor early, cause the rotor to resonate. Is it possible to trim/bevel the edge of a brake pad with standard garage tools?
Thanks
