Hi Trevor,

Is your vehicle still in any kind of warantee? I know in the US Saab offers one free battery. Weeks after buying my car (used) the battery died. When the dealership checked on the computer they said because my vehicle had not yet received its one free battery replacement I was entitlted to one then and there. For those folks thinking, the dealership was just trying to provide good service to a recent customer, this was not the dealership where I bought the car - just the closest dealership to where I was broke down.

I'd call up your local Saab dealership - what's the worst they can say? No

Six years is a good amount of time to get out of a battery. I'll be happy if I get six out of my new one.
