I was quite happy with my Goodyears Ultragrip Ice and they were cheaper than other alternatives. They are quiet and ok on snow and ice. Got three seasons out of them. Now considering Nokians but I think I will stick with Goodyear. It's important to get a tire with a rigid carcasse, which is NOT the case with Michelin Alpins.
