Well, perhpas he might have sounded a bit mean spirited, but I will say it in a different way. It is a public road, posted, according to you, as legal for 60 MPH.It is one thing to take car up to a high speed when the road is empty, get you jollys, then slowly and very carefully brake back to a more sane and presumably legal speed. Going up to 120- 130, and jamming on the brakes hard for the first time, having never done it in that particular car,is not the brightest thing to do. Things happen pretty rapidly at that speed, and you are probably not Jeff Gordon or Michael Schumacher in disguise. The incident that you described just sounds like someone getting in over his head, and nothing more. There is nothing wrong with the car. It was never intended to do what you did with it under those conditions. What surprises me the most about all this is the number of replys you got that were trying to dissect the technical aspects like brake bias, aerodynamics, weight transfer, tire quality and balance etc. without even questioning your sanity of doing this in the first place.
