Finally got a replacement for my wife's '89 9000CD which was totalled a few weeks ago. It is silver with dark grey interior, dark tinted rear windows, rear spoiler, vented seats(but not heated; southernn car). Very sharp. It has 42K miles. The DI was replaced at 37K miles. I have 1 month left on the warranty. The steering wheel controls are not lit, are they supposed to be? Also, one of the seat fan control is not lit either. Would they be covered by the factory warranty? What else should I be looking at closely before the warranty runs out? The SID is ok and I don't know if it was ever changed.
Could I extend the factory warranty though a dealer? I bought it from a private sale for $16K.
I keep these cars until I run them into the ground, and have had good luck changing the oil with castrol GTX (fossil) every 3k miles. Do you guys reccomend I use synthetic like Mobil1 for the 9-5? How often?
I will now be toggling between the 9000 and 9-5 BB. Excellent site.
TIA
