Fun 9-5 weekend!

Had a wonderful road-trip weekend in our 9-5, drove from Portland, OR to Central Washington via the Columbia River Gorge. The trip was 250 miles each direction, and took 4 hours each way. Our 9-5 is only a 2.3lpt, but it climbed the mountains at 80 MPH like a champ! When we got home, we had 440 miles on our tank of gas, and DTE readout is still 140 Miles, with the SID indicating 30.8 MPG. I'm really impressed with the car's balance of performance and fuel economy.
The 9-5 is my wife's car, I seldom drive it. I had wanted to take my NG900 (2.3i) but ended up choosing the 9-5 because the strut mount bushings in the 900 are shot and make too much noise. The 900 would have been noisier, slower, and would have used a lot more fuel for the same speeds. We'll take the 900 over this winter when it's time to play in the snow, as we've got chains for that car.
Happy driving!
