Auto Climate Control System Settings

Well, we are now a two SAAB family. My wife just picked up her '03 Linear Wagon and I have an '02 AERO Sedan. Basically the cars are similar, but one difference I have noticed on the '03 is the automatic climate control retains its settings when the car is shut off. On my Aero, if the ignition turned off for more then 10 mins, I have to turn the systen back on when I get back into the car. Is this a setting that can be changed or reprogrammed or is it a factory setting?
