Trading a leased 9-5 in for a new 9-5, good idea?

Just this past spring I leased a '00 9-5 Aero sedan for my wife, and since then I have noticed that the dealer has a red 2003 9-5 Aero wagon on the lot. My wife and I both like it and are considering bringing our '00 9-5 in for the '03 wagon. The story on the red one is that it was ordered for a customer but some of his options were not installed, so the car has been used by the sales manager for almost a year now.
Being that I suck as a negotiator, I am wondering what your opinions are on how much I might be able to negotiate the price. In casual conversation with the salesman they of course still want full list on it. Somewhere around $55,000 CDN, if I remember correctly.
