It's that they were three FUGLY spokes. The wide base area that connected each of the three spokes to the rim section is the part that in my mind made them ugly. I had a 94 9000 Aero with the three spoke wheels and thought they were not only good looking, but exceptionally easy to clean. Three spoke is fine if they are nicely styled, which to me the Klingons are NOT. They were showing up as dismounts at dealers for 300-350 a set when they were being sold on the 2000 and 2001 Aeros, so a few other s might have agreed with me. Why else would you discarda brand new set of wheels on a car you just bought otherthan to get ones whose looks you preferred? NOt many people wre going from 17 to 18 inches on this car.
