I found that keeping the ACC on and using the Saab default functions did the best job overall in near or subzero weather. There were some conditions when the system would take a while to get perfectly clear windows but that is not unusual in most cars. Also, using ACC all the time will help insure that windows are clear year round. I do this and find that I don't have to clean the interior glass very often.
