did I mention how much I hate tire noise?

When I purchased my CPO 9-5 wagon the dealer installed brand new Gislavd summer tires (yes they make summer tires) and it was smooth sailing for the first 5K miles. The tires were rotated at 5K. Then, ever so slowly, I started to hear rhythmic vibrations from the front left corner (MUCH louder on right hand turns and almost silent on left hand turns). And it got worse and worse until I could feel it in the steering wheel. I took it to my local Goodyear store to have that tire rebalanced without resolution (no they don't have a Hunter GSP9700, but that doesn't seem to matter ... read on).
This week I had the snows put on which requires unmounting the summer tires and mounting the snows. While unmounted I asked the Goodyear folks to check to see if the front left wheel is out of round. Not only did they say that it wasn't out of round but they also said the tire that was mounted on it looks smooth and good ... huh?
Now for the problem. The snows make the exact same noise. Rhythmic audible and physical vibration seemingly coming from the front driver side (MUCH louder on right hand turns and almost silent on left hand ones).
Normally, I wouldn't post such a mundane story, but I believe I recall some info regarding a bad suspension leading to tire noise or uneven wear.
Help ... there's nothing more frustrating than loud, rhythmic tire noise.
