Just had the Aero in for it's 30K checkup and to have the Mich. Primates replaced with WR's.
A couple weeks ago I suffered the humiliation of the driver's side corner light assembly popping out @ 70mph and abusing the fender during rush hour. Had service install the recommended metal clips to both sides. The next night the other one popped out. <sigh> Fortunately this time it was dark and raining so no one saw me putting my luxury sport sedan back together on the side of the road. Let service know what happened so when i brought it in again they'd clean up the cosmetic damage. Meantime I'll just use some duct tape (again) to ensure the light's position.
New plugs seems to have boosted my mileage a couple, will know better when I restart my daily commute on Monday but my drive back to LI from Albany showed great promise.
Then there are the Nokians! Wow!
My drive includes a 25 mi. stretch of I-684 from Brewster to the 278 exit. Anyone who knows this knows they've been slowly paving over the old concrete with asphalt which has made the drive soooo much more pleasent. But concrete sectins still persist and as I hit them I waited with clenched teeth for the "Rolling Thunder" I usually have to endure. But it wasn't there! Not as quiet as the asphalt but it was as if the Thunder had suddenly been muted. I could even hear the wind noise which was previously drowned out. Excellent, espescially as my commute includes 10 miles of concrete at the outer reaches of the LIE.
In addition, we departed Albany via the Hilltowns who'd just picked up a solid coating of snow over night. In areas where the State Troopers were poised to close roads due to icing, we effortlessly maneuvered the ups and downs and rights and lefts going where the Primates might have shied away. I'm very glad I invested in these for both our Saabs and look forward to more testing.
Thanks to all who recommended these, they're great!
