Turkey Day Road Trip to Detroit Observations

I'm a relatively new Saab owner (2000 95 SE Wagon). Shortly after I got my saab, I did a road trip from NYC to Portland Maine. Very, very comfortable and stable driving. For Thanksgiving, my wife and I drover 640 miles from NYC to Detroit. Driving there, we averaged 25 mpg @ 71 MPH (average Speed). Even though the trip was long, it was probabally the most comfortable time I've ever done (and I've done this drive many, many times). When I got there, I had my oil changed at the Saab Dealership in the Troy Motor Mall. They squeezed me in and also fixed my driver's side mirror housing, that was clipped in brooklyn. I'd definitely recommend these guys to anyone. They were efficient and nice.
Driving home on Saturday , we encounted some bad weather and a lot of traffic. Even with all that, we averaged about 65 MPH (I recall according to the SID) and about 26.4 MPG. I was pretty impresed about how little we needed to stop for gas.
I was shocked by the lack of Saabs on the road! We did see one 95 SE wagon in Pennsylvania, with Mass plates on I-80 slowly cruising in the passing lane (that makes me nuts), a few 93s and even fewer 900s. Otherwise, its SUV City.
Anyway, I'm very, very pleased that I got this car. It really is a true touring car, built for a road trip.
