1) Oil and filter changes at 5,000 mile intervals. Use a name brand synthetic oil (I use Mobil 1 0W-40) and a quality filter (Saab, Purolator Pure-One, or A-C Delco).
2) Change engine coolant as per owner's manual, which I think is every 60,000 miles and/or every two years. Use Saab coolant ($9 per gallon) because it is a different formulation than typical US branded coolants.
3) I only started carrying a spare DI after I replaced my original one at 80,000 miles as a precautionary measure. My old unit is my spare.
4) No unusual warm-up is necessary, but it is a good idea to stay out of the turbo until the engine temp needle is at mid range. Likewise, no unusual cool-down is needed either. Just don't come smoking into the garage at full boost and immediately shutdown the engine. The leisurely final 1/4 mile or more that most of us have before reaching our domiciles is sufficient for cool-down.
5) Check spark-plug gap every 10,000 miles. Gap to 0.037, the plug gaps tend to drift wider. Check PCV hoses with other maintenance work.
6) No oil leaks.
7) Replace your front brake pads, wash wheels frequently, or get used to dirty wheels - your choice.
8) I love my 9-5.
