01 Aero Wagon--dead on side of road this am.

Got a all this am, (very very cold out)from the wife saying when she was making a turn and the whole car lost power and died. (she had a hard time making the turn.)
Car has full power( its not the battery or alternator). It would not start but sounded like it wanted to. I was thinking possible frozen fuel line but she had driven about 6-7 miles before it died. After trying to start for about 6-7 times it did turn over and did not sound too healthy. I shut off and called Onstar. I have 49,373 miles on the car and I suspect the DI cassette is the culprit. The check engine light stays on when car is running as well as the Traction control button.
I could drive it but dont want to. I did make a turn to get it off the main road and I suspect its in limp home mode.
Besides replacing DI casette what should i have dealer do in addtion to that. plugs?
Thanks
Liam S.
