you may remember my previous posts about stalling and a recurring check engine light. the car was throwing code P1110 and indy mech (also the dealer) didn't look up the code properly, replaced MAF to no avail...finally sent me to the saab dealership (128 saab in mass., great service dept. - friendly, helpful, fair) to get it fixed. they replaced the turbo bypass valve (quick job, about 30min diag, 30 labor, all under indymech's warranty) and the light hasn't come on since. i'm hoping the stalling -- saabsite says the following about the tbvalve: "On Turbo models, One problem area is the Turbo-Bypass valve. The diaphragm in the Bypass valve develops a hole and can often create stalling problems !"
thanks all for your help! i hope this is good reference for anyone with the same problem in the future.
cheers,
shawn
