I'm not a resident of AZ, but my parents are. They go to Lund Saab (in the Pheonix/Scottsdale area). The service is out of this world. We looked at adding a 3rd Saab to our family when I bought mine from my Dad. They had all that pinstripe and tint crap on the Aero we were looking at. You can argue w/ them on these points and either get them to remove them, or have them order a car and make it clear that you don't want any of that. I asked about the desert package and they said something about treating the paint w/ something, I think. I don't really remember, but it didn't seem necessary. The owner of Lund (met him, too...the guy is really old, but nice) used to be the head of the Cadillac division some time ago. Interesting.

Lastly, someone mentioned that Cadillac's are for old farts. I feel that this comment was neither needed nor deserving. The CTS is a leap, not a step, in the right direction. It's much sportier than you might expect. Ever heard of the CTS V? It has an LS6 V-8 out of Z06 Corvette, w/ the same 6-speed tranny, and a suspension that was tuned on the Nurburgring, amongst other things (huge brakes that actually work, too). Cadillac is still car that the older people of America aspire for, but it's also becoming something that the younger people are starting to add to their shopping lists. Hell, I'm only 21 years old and think the CTS V will be a great car. I can already vouch for the normal CTS w/ the 3.2 and the 3.6 should be even better (new for '04). Then, again, I'm young and love the 9-5. I'm not the norm.

Sorry for the Cadillac rant. Just wanted to give credit where credit is due.

Jim
