crawling on the I-5 in southern california just on the border of LA
and East LA, i looked down to grab a piece of paper on the seat
and as soon as i looked up, the minivan in front of me was in a
complete stop.
pressed hard on the brake pedal but the distance was too little for me
to get to a complete stop.
hit the rear bumper
of the minivan. (poor soul was travelling from kansas).
the impact wasn't hard.
only did a few scratches on the (ford) minivan's bumper,
but was shocked to see the front of my aero.
the damage was pretty extensive - the whole grille caved in and
horizontally split in two, and the headlights broke and caved in as well, and the left turn signal light popped out.
the high pressure pop up washers weren't there, the license plate frame
was on the highway.
i was in disbelief that my year and 2 month old aero is in such a condition.
will be without my saab for the holidays.

drive safe folks.
keep eyes on the road (i should have)...
