believe just how good this tranny is -- it downshifts by itself correctly, holds the engine in power or efficiency range depending on how you drive. Forget about the shift paddles, they are a useless gimmick. I have an '03 aero wagon w/ 18k of heavy footed driving, and I can't stand a clutch in this car. The combination of ESP, fantastic brakes and great grip from the tires make this car extremely easy to drive well fast. Just try to accelerate full throttle w/ a manual trans to see how smooth the automatic does it. Plus, there is no clutch to replace. These automatics are very durable.
