I have just intstalled the delphi skyfi xm radio unit in the cubby/ashtray spot. power and connection to the saab radio is through fm modulator. Everything is fine, but the only wires I found in the connector of the saab radio that had 12v on them when the key was switched on were a red one (on all the time) and an orange one (on when ignition switch on). I used the orange one, but the radio cannot be turned on with the ignition switched off. Since there is no accessory position of the ignition switch, I'm looking for how the power switching on the saab radio is accomplished; i.e., you can turn it on when ignition is off and it will run from 20 minutes, then shut off). Is this accomplished with an external relay or is it internal to the radio? BTW, fm mod sounds great!
