1. Q. How much oil can an intercooler accomodate before its performance is significantly reduced?
A. The oil residue in the intercooler is ending up in your throttle body. Lots of air pressure moving it there. Clean your throttle body periodically. The coating of oil left in the intercooler will probably preserve it over time. I have asked my Saabtech the same question and got the high pressure moving the oil answer.
2. Q. Can a dealer "clean" an intercooler?
A. Probably, but no need.
3. Q. Would the PCV mod eliminate this oil from collecting in the future?
A. Has on mine. Much less oil in TB. I clean it using a lint free rag soaked in small amount of TB Cleaner every 5k miles.
4. Q. Should the dealer have cleaned this after performing the PCV mod?
A. No.
5. Q. As the car is still under warranty is there anything I should asked to be done?
A. Request they fix all outstanding items so you have a record of deficiencies before it is out of warranty.
